Professor Espino Hernandez got his BA, MA and PhD in Latin American studies at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
He was a full-time researcher in the project “Historia de América Latina y el Caribe” at the Instituto de Investigaciones Dr. José María Luis Mora.
He is author and co-author of diverse publications. He has taught BA History courses at Universidad Iberoamericana and at UNAM´s Facultad de Filosofía y Letras. He has participated in different academic events by presenting a number of lectures and readings. His area of expertise is the Colonial mining history of Taxco. He is currently working as a professor of History and Social Sciences at Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros, UNAM, Taxco campus.
