Students will exercise in the comprehension of authentic listening materials that will make them improve their oral and writing expressions.

Colonial and Independent Mexico

Students will reflect on the cultural impact of both the Colonial and Independent periods in México.

Spanish 6

Listening comprehension 2

Students will work in the comprehension of authentic listening materials that will make them develop their oral and writing expressions. They will be able to detect problems that generate listening incomprehension due to diverse speaking-related phenomena.

Contemporary Mexico

Students will know the historic development of Mexico during the period that goes from 1910 until the last decade of the 20th century which will particularly allow them to start an analytical comprehension of today´s Mexico.

Colloquial language

Students will know and understand words, terms, sayings, and idioms used in oral speech in familiar and informal contexts.

Local culture and knowledge

Students will strengthen their learning of Spanish and will broaden their vocabulary through the encounter with the local culture and its people by having a chance to observe, participate, reflect and practice their oral speech with the local community.
