ore than 30,000 foreign and local students have studied at CEPE-Taxco´s classrooms since its creation in 1992.

CEPE-Taxco has provided an invaluable service to the local population by integrating it to the university life by means of all the English, Scenic arts, Literature and writing classes, together with the periodic organization of art and cultural shows and performances in coordination with several areas of cultural dissemination of UNAM, thus fostering the presence of the National University in the State of Guerrero.

Welcome to the Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Taxco campus. Our specialty is the teaching of Spanish as a second language, in a total immersion system with an emphasis on Mexican culture. Our students learn the language not only through specific Spanish courses, but also through courses in art, history, literature, and gastronomy as well as through film series, concerts, lectures and other activities such as: visits to archaeological sites, museums, historical areas, living with people in real situations. We wish you much success in this academic challenge, but above all we hope you enjoy this unforgettable experience. Good luck!
